SmartVOX® units installed in the Carlier Plastiques workshops
Carlier Plastiques has chosen SmartVOX® to alert its staff in the event of a fire
Carlier Plastiques is a manufacturer of composite sandwich panels, primarily fibreglass-reinforced polyester, based in Calonne-Ricouart in the Hauts-de-France region. The aim was to install a modern, high-performance fire alarm system to mitigate the risk of fire.
The requirement: Based in Pas-de-Calais (62), the company was looking for an effective and rapid solution to alert around 80 staff members in the event of a fire, in order to ensure the safe evacuation of all personnel.
The solution: Following a series of sound tests, 7 SmartVOX® units were installed and distributed throughout the moulding and finishing workshops, covering an area of over 14,000 m² and equipped with production machinery, CNC machining centres, presses, saws and other equipment.
To enable custom sounds and messages, a control unit with 4 buttons and 19 manual triggers were ordered, allowing the alarm to be triggered.
The pre-programmed scenarios include an audible signal indicating the designated assembly point for staff in the event of a fire. The company is considering rolling out other applications for SmartVOX®, such as alarms for lone workers.
Carlier Plastiques has approved the use of SmartVOX® in its building as an effective, customisable and scalable alert system.
