Multilingual Alert System for "Le Galetas Municipal" Campground (83)

The Municipal ‶LE GALETAS ” (83) has installed SmartVOX® to issue alerts in the event of major risks.

The requirement: Located in the municipality of Aiguine, ‘Le Galetas’ is a municipal campsite with 350 pitches spread over 49 hectares. The campsite is looking for a simple, effective and cost-efficient alert system to notify holidaymakers with personalised messages in French and Dutch, advising them on how to protect themselves from natural hazards (storms, fires, etc.).

The solution: Sound and voice tests carried out in real-life conditions showed that, thanks to their wide sound coverage, only four SmartVOX® alarms were needed to alert all residents and holidaymakers. The campsite owner opted for the 6-button control unit to trigger the various scenarios.

The various voice messages were recorded directly by the campsite and can also be created and edited at a later date using text-to-speech technology. The alert system is scalable to meet future needs.

SmartVOX® devices communicate with each other via a LoRa wireless connection: this means there is no need for any wiring between the alarms, which makes installation easier and reduces costs.

Following on-site trials, the municipal campsite Le Galetas has approved the SmartVOX® voice alarms as an effective, customisable alert solution with low installation costs.
