VIGInet® for the Andrézieux Nursing Home

SNF is a chemical plant producing water-soluble polymers, based in Andrézieux-Bouthéon in the Loire region. The company is seeking an effective alert system to warn and notify local residents living near the site.

The requirement: Based in the Loire region, SNF is seeking a high-performance, flexible alert system to broadcast sounds and messages. The company requires an alert public address system capable of providing audible coverage within a containment perimeter with a radius of approximately 1,100 metres.

The solution: Following a series of sound tests and a site survey, three VIGInet® dual-enclosure units, each fitted with 12 T130-HP sirens, have been installed in the site’s three sectors: East, West and South. Each sounder cabinet has buttons to trigger alerts (explosion, fire, toxic gas release, etc.).

At SNF’s request, an additional control panel has been installed in a control room to trigger the alarm. Communication between the panels is via a fibre-optic link.

The sounds can therefore be triggered from four different locations and broadcast to all the warning devices located across the site.

SNF Andrézieux-Bouthéonhas approved the use of Sounders  and the VOXALERT VIGInet® control centre at its production site as a flexible, effective and secure emergency response alert system.
